Mo-ichido
installation performance (2008)
Concept
Mo-ichido is an experimental space installation combined with music,
video and scent. With _Mo-ichido_ (Japanese for ‘once again’) Tomoko makes use of the strongly individual characters of the rooms in the Wall House to induce an interplay of personal and memory, scents and music. There are few elements that are quite as potent in evoking memories as sound and smell. And particularly the context determines the way in which things – spaces, smells, sounds – are experienced. Especially for the studio, the corridor, the living room, the dining room and the bedroom of the Wall House, Tomoko composed music, and designed installations offering sounds, smells and video images that reinforce her interpretation of the specific areas and thus colour spatial perception.
Mo-Ichido consists of fragments of the following compositions:
J.S. Bach
Tomoko Mukaiyama
Somei Sato
Sergey Zagny
